EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor

Yes, we replace shocks and struts where the car is parked

The technician brings the shocks or struts for your car to your home or office and installs them where the car is parked. They refit the suspension mounting hardware and brake hose or ABS wire brackets where your car uses them. The appointment also includes a complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.

Not sure it is the shock absorber or strut?

A shock absorbers / struts replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the shock absorber or strut is the problem, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.

Is it the shock absorber or strut? Signs to watch for

  • The car keeps bouncing after you go over a dip or speed bump.
  • The front end dives down when you brake.
  • The rear of the car squats when you take off.
  • The car feels loose or floaty on the highway.
  • You hear a dull clunk from a corner of the car over bumps.
  • The steering wheel shakes more on rough pavement.
  • The car leans more than it used to in turns.
  • The tires have cupped or scalloped wear across the tread.
  • You see oily wetness on the outside of a shock or strut body.

Shocks, struts, tires or sway bar links?

Shocks and struts control how the springs move. When they wear out, the car bounces, floats, dives during braking, and can wear the tires in a cupped pattern. A tire problem usually feels like a steady vibration that changes with road speed. A sway bar link often makes a sharper rattle over small bumps, especially on one side. A loose ball joint or control arm can clunk too, but it also changes how the wheel holds its position.

What happens if you wait

Worn shocks or struts let the tire hop instead of staying planted on the road. That makes the car feel loose over bumps and can wear the tires unevenly. Braking can feel longer because weight moves forward harder than it should. Waiting can also put more load on mounts, sway bar links, control arms and other suspension parts.

What it costs, and how the price is set

Shock Absorbers / Struts Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on whether your car uses shocks or struts, which axle is being serviced, the year, make and model, and how the suspension is built. It includes parts and labor, replacement of the shock absorbers or struts on the approved estimate, a complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.

Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you replace the shock absorber or strut in my parking garage?

+

Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.

Should shocks and struts be replaced in pairs?

+

They are usually replaced as an axle pair so the left and right sides dampen the same way. The estimate is built around the option you request.

Can you replace sway bar links at the same visit?

+

Yes, when Sway Bar Link Replacement is on the approved estimate. Add it to your request so it is quoted, and the technician brings the parts for the approved work. Work not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.

How long does a shock absorbers / struts replacement take?

+

Usually about an hour. It depends on the year, make and model, whether the car uses shocks or struts, whether the front or rear axle is being serviced, and how much trim or suspension hardware has to come off for access.

Do I need to be there?

+

Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.

Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?

+

No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.

Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.

If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

+

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.

Do I need shocks or struts?

+

That depends on how your suspension is built. Some cars use struts in the front and shocks in the rear. Some use struts all around, and some use shocks all around. If you are not sure what the car needs, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead.

Will I need an alignment after struts are replaced?

+

Often, yes. Struts can affect the wheel angle, so an alignment shop may be needed after the repair. Shock replacement usually does not change alignment the same way.

Can I drive with bad shocks or struts?

+

You may still be able to drive, but the car can bounce, lean, dive during braking and wear tires unevenly. If the car is clunking hard or feels unstable, book a diagnostic instead of guessing at the repair.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

+

Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.

How do I pay?

+

EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.

What does the shock absorber or strut warranty cover?

+

The EZCC Service Warranty on the shock absorber or strut is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
