EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor
Yes, we replace tie rod ends where the car is parked

Not sure it is the tie rod end?
A tie rod replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the tie rod end is the problem, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the tie rod end? Signs to watch for
- The steering wheel has extra play before the front wheels respond.
- The car wanders and needs constant small steering corrections.
- A front tire is wearing faster on the inside or outside edge.
- The steering wheel is off center while driving straight.
- You hear a clunk from the front when turning into a driveway.
- The front end shakes through the steering wheel at road speed.
- The car feels loose after hitting a bump or pothole.
- A tire squeals during slow turns even when the road is dry.
- The front wheels do not feel like they point the same way.
Tie rod end, ball joint or steering rack?
A tie rod end connects the steering rack to the steering knuckle, so it affects toe angle and steering response. A bad tie rod end usually feels like loose steering, wandering, edge tire wear or a clunk when the steering changes direction. A ball joint or control arm problem is more tied to suspension movement over bumps, while a rack and pinion problem can bring steering fluid leaks, binding or heavy steering.
What happens if you wait
A worn tie rod end lets the front wheel change toe while you drive. The tire scrubs across the road, the steering gets looser, and the car may not hold an alignment. If the joint gets bad enough, steering control at that wheel can be lost.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Tie Rod Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on your vehicle's year, make, model, steering layout, and which tie rod end or ends are being replaced. It includes parts and labor, replacing the tie rod end or ends, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the tie rod end in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Can you replace just the bad tie rod end?
+
Yes, when that is what is on the approved estimate. The estimate can cover an inner tie rod end, an outer tie rod end, or more than one tie rod end if you add those options to your request.
Is Tie Rod Replacement the same as rack and pinion repair?
+
No. Tie rod ends are the steering links between the rack and the wheels. The rack and pinion is the steering gear itself; if you are not sure which part is causing the symptom, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead.
How long does a tie rod replacement take?
+
Usually about an hour. It depends on your vehicle's year, make, model, the side being serviced, and whether the inner tie rod, outer tie rod, or both have to come off.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Do I need an alignment after Tie Rod Replacement?
+
Yes, a wheel alignment is normally needed after tie rod work because tie rods set toe. EZ Car Clinic replaces the tie rod end or ends where the car is parked; alignment is done by an alignment shop.
Is it safe to drive with a bad tie rod end?
+
A loose tie rod end affects steering control and tire wear. If the steering feels loose, the front end clunks, or a front tire points wrong, do not keep driving it like normal.
Can you replace inner and outer tie rods at the same visit?
+
Yes, when they are on the approved estimate. Add the inner and outer tie rod end options to your request so the work is quoted before the visit.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the tie rod end warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the tie rod end is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
