EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor

Yes, we replace control arms where the car is parked

The technician brings the control arm to your home or office and installs it. They fasten the arm to the subframe or body and reconnect the ball joint or mounting points the vehicle uses. They do a complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.

Not sure it is the control arm?

A control arm replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the control arm is the problem, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.

Is it the control arm? Signs to watch for

  • A clunk comes from the suspension when you drive over bumps.
  • The car pulls when you brake or accelerate.
  • The steering feels loose after a pothole or curb hit.
  • A wheel looks set back or pushed forward in the wheel opening.
  • The car wanders on the highway and needs constant steering correction.
  • A tire wears on the inner or outer edge.
  • The steering wheel sits off center after an alignment.
  • The alignment does not hold for long.
  • You hear a pop when turning into a driveway.
  • The car feels unstable in a turn.

Control arm, ball joint or tie rod?

A control arm holds the wheel knuckle in position through its bushings and, on many cars, a ball joint. Worn control arm bushings let the wheel move forward, back or sideways, so the car can clunk, pull or lose alignment. A tie rod changes steering angle and toe, so it usually feels like loose steering or uneven tire wear tied to steering movement.

What happens if you wait

A worn control arm bushing lets the wheel move farther as the rubber separates. That movement changes alignment while you drive, wears the tire, and can make the car pull or wander. If the control arm includes the ball joint, looseness there matters because the ball joint helps hold the steering knuckle in place.

What it costs, and how the price is set

Control Arm Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on which control arm is being replaced, the side of the vehicle, how the arm is mounted, and the parts your vehicle uses. It includes the control arm, parts and labor, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.

Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you replace the control arm in my parking garage?

+

Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.

Can you replace control arms on both sides at the same visit?

+

Yes, when both sides are on the approved estimate. Add both sides to your request so both are quoted, and the technician brings the parts for the approved work.

What if the noise is from a sway bar link or strut?

+

Control Arm Replacement is a repair appointment, not a troubleshooting appointment. If the source of the clunk is not known, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead.

How long does a control arm replacement take?

+

Usually one to three hours. It depends on the vehicle's year, make, model, engine cradle layout, where the control arm sits, and how the mounting hardware comes apart.

Do I need to be there?

+

Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.

Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?

+

No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.

Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.

If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

+

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.

Do I need an alignment after a control arm is replaced?

+

Usually, yes. A control arm sets wheel position, so replacing it can change camber or caster and can leave the steering wheel off center. EZ Car Clinic does not do wheel alignments at your location.

Can you replace ball joints or tie rods at the same visit?

+

Yes, when they are on the approved estimate. Add Ball Joint Replacement or Tie Rod Replacement to your request so they are quoted on the same estimate. Work that is not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.

Can I drive with a bad control arm?

+

A worn bushing can get worse slowly, but a loose ball joint at the control arm is more serious because it helps hold the knuckle in place. If the car pulls, wanders, clunks hard, or the tire position looks wrong, do not keep using it like normal.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

+

Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.

How do I pay?

+

EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.

What does the control arm warranty cover?

+

The EZCC Service Warranty on the control arm is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
