Yes, we replace window regulators and motors where the car is parked
The technician brings the window regulator and motor for the door on your estimate. The appointment also includes a complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Not sure it is the window regulator and motor?
A window regulator & motor replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the window regulator and motor is the problem, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the window regulator and motor? Signs to watch for
- The window is stuck down and will not come back up.
- The window is stuck up and does not move when the switch is pressed.
- You hear a grinding or cable noise inside the door.
- The glass drops into the door.
- The glass tilts forward or backward while moving.
- The window moves slowly, then stops in the door opening.
- The motor can be heard, but the glass does not move.
- The window goes down but will not go back up.
- The glass slides down again after being raised.
- The door makes a crunching sound when the window switch is pressed.
Regulator, motor, switch or wiring?
The regulator is the scissor or cable lift that holds and moves the glass. The motor turns that lift. A broken regulator often makes grinding noises, lets the glass tilt, or lets the glass drop into the door. A failed motor may leave the glass still with no motor sound. A bad switch, fuse, door wiring, or body control problem can act the same from the driver's seat. If the cause is uncertain, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead of this repair.
What happens if you wait
A window stuck down leaves the interior open to rain, dust, and theft. A loose glass can move inside the door and damage the run channel or weatherstrip. Holding the switch after the regulator has jammed can strain the motor and wiring. Replacing the regulator and motor keeps the glass supported and moving on its tracks.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Window Regulator & Motor Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on which door needs the repair, the vehicle's year, make, and model, the regulator design, and how the door trim is built. It includes the window regulator and motor, parts and labor, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the window regulator and motor in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Do I need the regulator, the motor, or both?
+
This service replaces the power window regulator and motor. If you are not sure whether the regulator, motor, switch, wiring, or fuse is the cause, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead.
Can you fix a window that came off track?
+
If the glass came off track because the regulator failed, this service fits the new regulator and motor and fastens the glass to it. Broken glass, damaged run channels, or damaged weatherstrips are quoted separately.
How long does a window regulator & motor replacement take?
+
Usually about an hour. It depends on the year, make, and model, which door is being repaired, how the trim panel comes apart, how the glass is sitting in the door, and how the regulator is mounted.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can you replace a window regulator if the glass is stuck down?
+
Yes. The technician removes the door trim and replaces the regulator and motor. If the glass is loose in the door, it is fastened back to the new lift mechanism.
Can you replace the power window switch instead?
+
A switch problem is a different repair. If the switch is suspected but not confirmed, start with Diagnose / Troubleshoot so the cause can be found and the repair quoted.
What if the door panel is already apart?
+
The estimate is still written for the vehicle and the window that needs the regulator and motor. The technician brings the parts listed on that estimate and completes the replacement where the car is parked.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the window regulator and motor warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the window regulator and motor is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
