Spark plugs, coils or fuel injectors?
Spark plugs make the spark that lights the air and fuel in each cylinder. As the electrodes wear, the spark gets weak, especially under load, and the engine can misfire. Ignition coils can cause the same kind of misfire because they feed the plugs. A fuel injector problem can also feel like a miss, but it is a fuel delivery problem, not a spark problem. If the cause is not already known, start with a diagnostic appointment.
What happens if you wait
Worn spark plugs make the ignition system work harder. The engine may use more fuel, shake at idle, hesitate under load, and set misfire codes. A steady misfire can send unburned fuel into the exhaust, which can damage the catalytic converter. Replacing the plugs when they are due keeps the ignition side of the engine working the way it should.

The price depends on the year, make, model, engine, access to the plugs, and whether the estimate is for all spark plugs or one engine bank. It includes parts and labor, replacing the spark plugs, clearing related trouble codes, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.
Warranty

Can you replace the spark plugs in my parking garage?

Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Can you replace ignition coils with the spark plugs?

Yes, when Ignition Coil Replacement is on the approved estimate. Add it to your request so it is quoted with the Spark Plugs Replacement. Work not on the approved estimate is quoted for a later visit.
Do you remove a broken spark plug?

No. EZ Car Clinic does not offer broken spark plug removal. If a spark plug is broken in the cylinder head, that repair needs a shop that handles extraction work.
How long does a spark plugs replacement take?

Usually one to two hours. It depends on the year, make, model, engine, where the spark plugs sit, and whether intake parts need to come off to reach them.
Do I need to be there?

Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?

No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can new spark plugs fix a misfire?

Yes, if worn or fouled spark plugs are the cause. If you are not sure what is causing the misfire, book Diagnose Check Engine Light instead of a repair appointment.
Can you replace only one bank of spark plugs?

Yes, when Bank 1 or Bank 2 is the approved option on the estimate. Some engines have two banks, and the estimate shows the option that fits the repair you requested.
Will the check engine light go off after spark plugs are replaced?

The service includes clearing related trouble codes after the spark plugs are replaced. If the light comes back, the car may have another cause, such as an ignition coil, fuel injector, wiring fault or engine mechanical problem.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
