EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor

Yes, we replace oxygen / O2 sensors where the car is parked

The technician brings the oxygen / O2 sensor and installs it at your home or office. They reconnect the wiring, clear related trouble codes and do the complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.

Not sure it is the oxygen / O2 sensor?

An oxygen / O2 sensor replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the oxygen / O2 sensor is the problem, book Diagnose Check Engine Light instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.

Is it the oxygen / O2 sensor? Signs to watch for

  • The Check Engine Light is on and a scan showed an oxygen sensor code.
  • Fuel economy dropped even though your driving has not changed.
  • The exhaust smells like unburned fuel after the engine warms up.
  • The engine surges or hesitates while cruising at a steady speed.
  • The idle gets rough after warm-up.
  • The vehicle failed emissions for an oxygen sensor or fuel mixture fault.
  • The Check Engine Light came back soon after the code was cleared.
  • A rotten-egg smell comes from the exhaust, especially after driving.
  • Black soot builds up at the tailpipe on a gas engine.

Oxygen sensor, catalytic converter or fuel problem?

An upstream oxygen sensor helps the engine computer adjust the fuel mixture. A downstream oxygen sensor watches catalytic converter activity. A catalytic converter fault, exhaust leak, misfire or fuel injector problem can set a similar warning light. If the cause is not already known, use Diagnose Check Engine Light before booking this repair.

What happens if you wait

A slow or failed oxygen sensor can make the engine run too rich or too lean. That can waste fuel, foul spark plugs and overheat the catalytic converter. A heater circuit fault can also keep the sensor from working correctly after startup, so the Check Engine Light stays on and emissions readiness may not complete.

What it costs, and how the price is set

Oxygen / O2 Sensor Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on your vehicle's year, make, model, engine, sensor location and access to that sensor. It includes the oxygen / O2 sensor, parts and labor, clearing related trouble codes, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.

Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you replace the oxygen / O2 sensor in my parking garage?

+

Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.

Which oxygen sensor do I need?

+

The written estimate shows the sensor location for your car, such as Bank 1 upstream or Bank 2 downstream. Upstream sensors help control fuel mixture, and downstream sensors monitor catalytic converter activity. If you do not already know which one failed, book Diagnose Check Engine Light.

Can a bad oxygen sensor hurt the catalytic converter?

+

Yes. A bad oxygen sensor can cause a rich fuel mixture, and extra fuel can overheat the catalytic converter. Waiting can turn a sensor problem into an exhaust and emissions problem.

How long does an oxygen / O2 sensor replacement take?

+

Usually about an hour. It depends on the year, make, model and engine, which oxygen / O2 sensor is being replaced, and whether the sensor is easy to reach or mounted deep in the exhaust.

Do I need to be there?

+

Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.

Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?

+

No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.

Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.

If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

+

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.

Can you replace the oxygen sensor if I already have the code?

+

Yes, when the sensor to replace is on the approved estimate. An Oxygen / O2 Sensor Replacement appointment replaces that sensor. It does not include finding which sensor caused the light.

Will replacing the oxygen sensor turn off the Check Engine Light?

+

The technician clears related trouble codes after the oxygen / O2 sensor is replaced. If a different fault is also present, the light can return. If the cause is uncertain, book a diagnostic appointment instead of a repair.

Can you replace spark plugs or fuel injectors at the same visit?

+

Yes, when that work is on the approved estimate. Add Spark Plugs Replacement or Fuel Injector Replacement to your request so the technician brings the parts for the approved work. Work that is not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

+

Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.

How do I pay?

+

EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.

What does the oxygen / O2 sensor warranty cover?

+

The EZCC Service Warranty on the oxygen / O2 sensor is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
