Not sure it is the engine/motor mount?
An engine/motor mount replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the engine/motor mount is the problem, book Diagnose Unusual Sounds instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the engine/motor mount? Signs to watch for
- The steering wheel, seat, or floor shakes more at idle than it used to.
- The vibration gets worse when the car is stopped in Drive with your foot on the brake.
- You feel a thump when shifting from Park to Reverse or Drive.
- The engine rocks hard when you give it light throttle.
- A clunk comes from the engine bay when you pull away from a stop.
- The car jerks when you go on and off the gas at low speed.
- You feel extra vibration after the engine warms up and the idle settles.
- You see cracked rubber, separated rubber, or oily fluid around a hydraulic mount.
- The exhaust, fan shroud, or intake tube touches because the engine sits out of place.
Engine/motor mount or transmission mount?
Engine/motor mounts hold the engine to the body or subframe and control engine twist. A transmission mount supports the transmission side of the powertrain. Either one can cause a thump on takeoff or a shake in the cabin, so if you are not sure which mount is bad, book a diagnostic appointment instead of this repair.
What happens if you wait
A worn mount lets the engine move farther than it should when you shift, accelerate, or let off the gas. That movement can pull on exhaust parts, hoses, wiring, and driveline parts. The vibration also keeps getting into the body of the car instead of being absorbed by the mount.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Engine/Motor Mount Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on your year, make, model, engine, mount position, and access to the mount. It includes the engine/motor mount, parts and labor, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the engine/motor mount in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Why does my car thump when I shift into Drive or Reverse?
+
A worn engine/motor mount can let the engine twist and hit its travel limit when the load changes. That can feel like a thump through the body of the car. If you are not sure the mount is the cause, book Diagnose Unusual Sounds instead.
Can you replace another engine/motor mount at the same visit?
+
Yes, when each mount is on the approved estimate. Add the mount locations to your request, such as front, rear, driver, passenger, or torque rod. The technician brings the parts for each one.
How long does an engine/motor mount replacement take?
+
Usually one to three hours. It depends on the vehicle's year, make, model, engine, which mount is being replaced, and how much access there is around the frame rail, exhaust, fan shroud, or brackets.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can I keep driving with a bad engine/motor mount?
+
A worn mount can let the engine move too far during shifts and acceleration. That movement can stress hoses, wiring, exhaust parts, and driveline parts. If the clunk or cabin shake is getting worse, book the repair before more parts are stressed.
Can you replace the transmission mount at the same visit?
+
Yes, when Transmission Mount Replacement is on the approved estimate. Add it to your request so it is quoted with this service and the technician brings the parts for the approved work. Work not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.
What if the shaking is not from the engine/motor mount?
+
Engine vibration can also come from a misfire, an idle problem, a driveline problem, or a transmission mount. Engine/Motor Mount Replacement is a repair appointment and does not include testing or troubleshooting. If the cause is uncertain, book Diagnose / Troubleshoot instead.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the engine/motor mount warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the engine/motor mount is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
