EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor
Yes, we replace water pumps where the car is parked
The technician brings the water pump and coolant to your home or office and installs the pump on site. They drain and refill the coolant, purge air from the cooling system, and do a complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Not sure it is the water pump?
A water pump replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the water pump is the problem, book Diagnose Engine Overheat instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the water pump? Signs to watch for
- The temperature gauge climbs while you drive or sit in traffic.
- Coolant is dripping from the front or belt side of the engine.
- You see pink, green, orange or blue crust around the water pump area.
- A sweet coolant smell comes from the engine bay after driving.
- Steam comes from under the hood after the engine gets hot.
- The low coolant warning comes back after you add coolant.
- A whining, grinding or growling noise comes from the belt side of the engine.
- The heater blows cold air while the engine temperature is high.
- Coolant sprays or splashes near the water pump pulley.
- The engine overheats again after the coolant was refilled.
Water pump, thermostat or hose?
A water pump moves coolant through the engine and radiator. When it leaks or the bearing fails, coolant can drip from the pump area and the pulley side may make noise. A stuck thermostat can cause overheating without an outside leak, and a split hose usually leaks from the hose end or the rubber itself. If the symptom is only overheating and the source is not clear, book Diagnose Engine Overheat instead of Water Pump Replacement.
What happens if you wait
A leaking water pump lets the coolant level drop, and low coolant cannot carry heat out of the engine. A worn pump bearing can also let the pulley wobble, which can throw or damage the belt. Driving with low coolant or poor circulation can overheat the engine and turn a cooling system repair into a larger engine repair.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Water Pump Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on your vehicle's year, make, model and engine, where the water pump sits, and what has to come off to reach it. It includes parts and labor, replacing the water pump, draining and filling coolant, purging air out of the cooling system, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the water pump in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Can a bad water pump make noise?
+
Yes. A failing water pump bearing can make a whining, grinding or growling sound from the belt side of the engine. The noise often changes with engine speed.
Can you replace the belt at the same visit?
+
Yes, when Belt Replacement is on the approved estimate. Add it to your request so it can be quoted with Water Pump Replacement; the technician brings the parts for the approved work. Work that is not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.
How long does a water pump replacement take?
+
Usually two to four hours. It depends on your vehicle's year, make, model and engine, and where the water pump sits on the engine.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Do I need Water Pump Replacement or an overheating diagnostic?
+
Book Water Pump Replacement when the water pump is already known to be the failed part. If the engine is overheating and you are not sure why, book Diagnose Engine Overheat instead.
Why does the cooling system need the air purged out?
+
Air pockets can keep coolant from flowing through the engine and heater core. After Water Pump Replacement, the technician refills the coolant and purges air from the cooling system so coolant can circulate correctly.
Will Water Pump Replacement stop my coolant leak?
+
It will stop a leak that is coming from the water pump. Coolant can also leak from hoses, the radiator, the thermostat housing or other parts, so choose Diagnose Fluid Leak if the leak source is not known.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the water pump warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the water pump is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
