EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor
Yes, we replace oil coolers where the car is parked
The technician brings the oil cooler option on your estimate to your home or office. They replace the engine oil cooler or transmission oil cooler where the car is parked, clear related trouble codes, and do the complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Not sure it is the oil cooler?
An oil cooler replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the oil cooler is the problem, book Diagnose Fluid Leak instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the oil cooler? Signs to watch for
- Oil is dripping from the oil filter housing area or the side of the engine.
- Coolant in the reservoir has a brown oily film on top.
- The coolant looks thick, muddy, or like chocolate milk.
- Engine oil level drops between oil changes, but the drain plug area is dry.
- Coolant level keeps dropping with no wet spot under the radiator.
- Red transmission fluid is leaking near the front of the car.
- The transmission slips or shifts poorly after a fluid leak near the cooler.
- Oil or coolant residue collects around the oil cooler housing.
- A warning light came on after an oil, coolant, or transmission fluid leak.
- You smell hot oil after driving, especially near the front of the engine.
Oil cooler leak, head gasket, or cooler line?
An oil cooler can leak on the outside through its seals, or it can leak inside and let oil and coolant mix. That can look like a head gasket problem because both can put oil in coolant or coolant in oil. Cooler lines can also leak where the hose or fitting meets the cooler, while the cooler itself may be dry. If the source is not already known, book a diagnostic instead of Oil Cooler Replacement.
What happens if you wait
A leaking engine oil cooler can lower the oil level or let coolant and oil mix. Mixed fluids do not protect bearings, seals, hoses, and gaskets the way clean fluid does. A leaking transmission oil cooler can lower transmission fluid and cause slipping, harsh shifts, or delayed engagement. Waiting usually means more cleaning, more fluid loss, and more parts affected by the leak.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Oil Cooler Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on whether your car needs the engine oil cooler or transmission oil cooler, where the cooler sits, and what has to be moved for access. It includes the oil cooler, parts and labor, clearing related trouble codes, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the 12-month / 12,000-mile EZCC Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the oil cooler in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Is this for the engine oil cooler or the transmission oil cooler?
+
Oil Cooler Replacement has options for the engine oil cooler and the transmission oil cooler. Add the symptom and vehicle details to your request, and the written estimate shows the option that fits your car.
Will Oil Cooler Replacement fix overheating?
+
It can help when the oil cooler leak or fluid mixing is part of the overheating problem. Overheating can also come from a thermostat, radiator, water pump, fan, hose, or trapped air. If the cause is not known, book Diagnose Engine Overheat.
How long does an oil cooler replacement take?
+
Usually one to three hours. It depends on the year, make, model, engine, whether it is an engine oil cooler or transmission oil cooler, and where the cooler sits.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can I drive with a bad oil cooler?
+
It depends on the leak and which cooler is failing. If oil, coolant, or transmission fluid is low, driving can damage the engine or transmission. If you are not sure what is leaking, book Diagnose Fluid Leak first.
Will Oil Cooler Replacement fix oil in my coolant?
+
It can if the oil cooler is the part letting oil and coolant mix. A head gasket, radiator, or another internal leak can cause similar fluid mixing. If the cause is not already known, book Diagnose Fluid Leak instead.
Can cooler lines be replaced at the same visit?
+
Yes, when they are on the approved estimate. Add Oil Cooler Lines Replacement to your request so the parts are quoted and brought for the same visit. Work not on the estimate is quoted for a later visit.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the oil cooler warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the oil cooler is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
