EZCC Service Warranty on parts and labor
Yes, we replace EVAP vent valves where the car is parked
The technician brings the EVAP vent valve to your home or office and installs it where the car is parked. They reconnect the EVAP hoses and electrical connector, clear related trouble codes if applicable, and perform the complimentary multipoint visual inspection. The price includes parts, labor and the EZCC Service Warranty.
Not sure it is the vent valve?
An EVAP vent valve replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the vent valve is the problem, book Diagnose Check Engine Light instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the vent valve? Signs to watch for
- The check engine light is on and the code points to the EVAP vent circuit or EVAP vent control.
- The gas pump nozzle keeps clicking off even though the tank is not full.
- You have to fill the tank slowly to keep the pump from shutting off.
- A gas cap warning or fuel system warning comes back after the gas cap has been tightened.
- The car runs normally, but it will not pass emissions because of an EVAP fault.
- A fuel smell is noticeable near the rear of the car after filling up.
- The EVAP readiness monitor will not complete after codes were cleared before.
- The warning light returns after a recent gas cap replacement.
- There is a clicking or buzzing sound near the fuel tank area when the EVAP system is active.
Vent valve or purge valve?
The EVAP vent valve is usually near the charcoal canister and fuel tank. It lets air move through the canister, then closes when the car runs the EVAP leak monitor. When it sticks closed, the tank may not vent while you refuel. When it sticks open or leaks, the car can set an EVAP fault. The purge valve is usually near the engine and meters fuel vapor into the intake. A purge valve problem is more likely to cause rough idle or hard starting after a fill-up.
What happens if you wait
A bad EVAP vent valve usually does not stop the engine from running. The check engine light may stay on, the car may fail an emissions inspection, and refueling may keep being slow or annoying. If the light is already on, a new problem can be harder to notice because the warning is already there.

What it costs, and how the price is set
EVAP Vent Valve Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The price depends on your car's year, make, model, fuel tank layout, and where the vent valve is mounted. It includes parts and labor, replacing the evaporative emission control canister vent valve, clearing related trouble codes if applicable, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the vent valve in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Is the EVAP vent valve the same as the purge valve?
+
No. The vent valve is normally near the charcoal canister and fuel tank. The purge valve is normally near the engine and controls vapor flow into the intake.
Can I drive with a bad EVAP vent valve?
+
The car often still drives normally. The problem is that the check engine light may stay on, refueling may be difficult, and the car may not pass emissions until the EVAP fault is repaired.
How long does an EVAP vent valve replacement take?
+
Usually one to two hours. It depends on the year, make, model, fuel tank layout, and whether the vent valve is mounted in the open near the charcoal canister or tucked above the tank.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can a bad EVAP vent valve make it hard to put gas in?
+
Yes. If the vent valve is stuck closed or the vent path is blocked, fuel vapors cannot move out of the tank the right way while you fill it. The pump nozzle may click off before the tank is full.
Will EVAP Vent Valve Replacement turn off my check engine light?
+
The service includes clearing related trouble codes, if applicable. If the warning light is coming from another EVAP part, such as the purge valve, gas cap, wiring, or charcoal canister, book Diagnose Check Engine Light instead.
What if the charcoal canister is the problem?
+
A charcoal canister problem can cause similar EVAP warnings and refueling trouble. If you are not sure which EVAP part is the cause, book Diagnose Check Engine Light instead of a repair.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the vent valve warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the vent valve is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
