Not sure it is the hose?
A Coolant/Radiator Hose Replacement appointment is a repair appointment. It does not include testing or troubleshooting. If you are not sure the hose is the problem, book Diagnose Engine Overheat instead. The technician finds the cause and quotes the repair.
Is it the hose? Signs to watch for
- A rubber hose in the engine bay looks swollen, soft or bulged.
- Coolant is wet around a hose end or clamp.
- A green, orange, pink or yellow crust is dried around the hose connection.
- You smell sweet coolant after driving.
- The temperature gauge climbs when the car is sitting in traffic.
- Steam comes from the edge of the hood after the engine gets hot.
- The coolant level drops after normal driving.
- The heater blows cold air while the engine temperature is high.
- Coolant drips from the front of the engine bay after parking.
- A hose has a split, rub mark or oil-softened spot.
Coolant hose, radiator or water pump?
A hose leak usually starts at a rubber hose, a clamp, or a plastic quick-connect fitting. The hose may be wet, swollen, cracked or stained with dried coolant. A radiator leak often leaves coolant on the radiator tanks or fins. A water pump leak usually shows up lower on the engine, near the pump or pulley area. A thermostat problem can make the engine overheat without an outside leak.
What happens if you wait
A weak coolant hose gets softer as it heats up and can split under cooling-system pressure. Once coolant gets low, the engine can overheat and push more coolant out. Air can also get trapped in the system, which can make the heater blow cold and the gauge move around. Replacing a known bad hose before it lets go helps protect the radiator, thermostat, water pump and engine.

What it costs, and how the price is set
Coolant/Radiator Hose Replacement is priced for your car on the written estimate. The estimate depends on your vehicle's year, make, model and engine, which hose is being replaced, and how the hose is routed. It includes the hose, parts and labor, filling coolant and purging air, the complimentary multipoint visual inspection, and the EZCC 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Service Warranty.
Before anything is scheduled, you get a written estimate for your car and the option, and you approve it online. The appointment is confirmed only when the estimate is approved, so the price is set before the technician comes to you. It changes only if you approve a change on site. A deposit may be collected online when you approve; the balance is due when the work is done, online, by card in person, or in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the hose in my parking garage?
+
Usually, yes. EZ Car Clinic needs a parking spot for the service van close to your car. If the garage belongs to a building or HOA, confirm that the work is allowed before you book.
Do you refill the coolant after replacing the hose?
+
Yes. The service includes filling coolant and purging air out of the cooling system after the hose is replaced.
Can a coolant hose leak only when the engine is hot?
+
Yes. Heat and pressure can open a small split or make coolant seep past a hose end. You may see dried coolant stains even when the hose is not dripping while parked.
How long does a Coolant/Radiator Hose Replacement take?
+
Usually one to two hours. It depends on your vehicle's year, make, model and engine, where the hose sits, how much access there is, and how much air must be purged from the cooling system.
Do I need to be there?
+
Yes. Someone must be there to hand over the key and approve any change to the estimate. They do not need to stand by the car, but they are welcome to.
Are there any additional fees for weekend or same-day service?
+
No, we don't charge extra for weekend or same-day appointments. If our schedule allows, we're happy to get your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible at no extra charge.
Most services carry an on-site service fee to cover technician dispatch and travel to your location. This fee is clearly listed on your estimate.
If additional work is needed during your appointment, your technician will discuss it with you and provide an updated estimate for your approval before performing any additional services.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
+
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment; changes made within 48 hours are subject to a late-change fee under the booking policy.
Can you replace just one coolant hose?
+
Yes. Coolant/Radiator Hose Replacement is for the hose in your request. If more than one hose is needed, it must be added to the request so it can be quoted on the estimate.
What if my car is overheating and I do not know why?
+
Book Diagnose Engine Overheat instead. Coolant/Radiator Hose Replacement is a repair appointment and does not include testing or troubleshooting.
Which coolant hose do you replace?
+
The written estimate shows which hose it is, such as the upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, coolant reservoir hose, heater core inlet hose or heater core outlet hose.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
+
Same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits, but they are not guaranteed. EZ Car Clinic is an advance-booking service, not an emergency roadside or towing provider. Your appointment is confirmed only after you approve the estimate.
How do I pay?
+
EZ Car Clinic may collect a deposit online when you approve the estimate. The balance can be paid online, by card in person, or in cash when the work is done.
What does the hose warranty cover?
+
The EZCC Service Warranty on the hose is 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage conditions and exclusions are explained in the full service warranty terms.
